Yan Yu is a family physician based in Calgary, and a Rhodes Scholar with dual Masters degrees in Public Policy and Business Administration from Oxford University. Alongside caring for his patients, Yan is also passionate about medical education, advocating for primary care’s role in healthcare, and of course, helping new physicians improve their financial wellbeing. During his medical training, Yan founded the free online medical learning resource, The Calgary Guide to Understanding Disease (www.thecalgaryguide.com), which has been accessed over 4 million times in over 150 countries. He currently also serves as a Director-at-Large on the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)’s Board of Directors. In his spare time, Yan enjoys cycling, mountain trail-running, and cooking.
